I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving. Even though I’m not currently in the US, I decided to make a mini Thanksgiving for my husband and myself. We had a small chicken roasted with cranberries and herbs along with some Yukon gold mashed potatoes with buttermilk and chives, and some brussels sprouts with bread crumbs and lemon (my husband wasn’t a fan of these.) Do share what you had for Thanksgiving so I can live vicariously through you. I hope everyone has a great holiday season-Thanksgiving being the kick-off of joyous times ahead!
I am so impressed with your presentation…I have no ability to make things look so attractive!
At lunchtime we hit up an Indian buffet here in NYC and dinner was Mexican. We did slip in a piece of pumpkin pie for dessert at a random coffee shop. All in all, it was good! But I must say I miss the traditional turkey dinner!!
Thanks, Ameena. I’m sure you could make a dish look better than this one, just takes a little more effort.
I would love to spend TG in NYC!

your plate looks the most appealing of all the ones I have seen so far! mouthwatering too. hoping you enjoy your trip/happy thanksgiving to you and your family!
Thanks so much!
I like your mini-Thanksgiving. I love Brussels sprouts. They were on the table, as was turkey, lots of starchy side dishes, and many desserts, including homemade carrot cake, pecan pie, and a brownie/cheesecake combo. It was all excellent, and best of all, I only cooked one dish 😉
Your TG sounds yummy! What did you make?
beautiful presentation… thanks for sharing this post and enjoy your weekend.
thanks so much!!
awesome blog…love your Mini thanksgiving meal. beautifully presented and clicked.
Thank you, Sayantani!
Happy Belated Thanksgiving! We had a vegetarian mezze, lots of food, still eating the leftovers now actually, which is fab. Tried aloo parathas as well, they were lovely, thanks for the inspiration..
Your TG sounds yummy, love mezze! Do share your experience w/ the parathas!
I decided to twist things up and make a vegetarian feast this year! It was pretty good, I missed the bird though. The menu, wild rice and mushroom loaf, figgy wild rice stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy and quick apricot tart!
Love your mini TG meal!
mmmm I love all the dishes you made!
Oh, happy belated-Thanksgiving, lady. I’m so glad you brought your own party 🙂
11/10 for presentation.
Thanks so much for your sweet comment, Kat!
Wow, that is one plate full of delight!
Wish you a happy thanksgiving too! We had a good one and hope you did too 🙂
Thanks so much, Prerna!
I did Thanksgiving on Saturday with my parents and some relatives. We had a pumpkin ‘fondue’ and apple tart – those were the most popular 🙂
oh wow, would love to hear more about the pumpkin fondue, sounds fab!
I love Brussell sprouts and am surprised that your husband didn’t keep them all to himself. I roast mine now and I’m a convert. For T-day we had the full works. Way too much food and I’m not unhappy for it.
my husb didn’t care for the brussels sprouts at all. I think he just couldn’t let go of his preconceived notion of them.
It’s the holidays-time to indulge a lil extra 😉
Nadia I can’t believe your hubby doesnt like brussels sprouts whats not to love!!!
Glad to hear you had a good thanksgiving, the chicken looks DELICIOUS!
Nadia that looks absolutely wonderful…
creative gal 🙂 Happy holidays
